The First Ivy Ball
The inaugural Ivy Ball is organized in Hong Kong by the Cornell and Columbia alumni clubs, bringing together Ivy League graduates for a formal black-tie evening and establishing a new alumni tradition.
Early 1990s
Expansion to All Ivy Schools
The event grows to include alumni from all eight Ivy League universities, and organized globally.

Global Alumni Participation
Ivy Balls evolve into annual formal galas organized by Ivy League alumni clubs worldwide to cities such as Hong Kong, London, Singapore, and New York.
2000s
A Signature Alumni Event
Ivy Ball becomes one of the largest Ivy alumni gatherings worldwide, attracting thousands of guests annually and introducing traditions such as school song competitions, ballroom dancing, and charity raffles.

International Ivy Community
The Ivy Ball becomes a recognizable global alumni tradition, celebrating Ivy League culture while connecting professionals, entrepreneurs, and academics across continents.
